Lectors SUMMER 2017 Cantors (Summer 2017)
- Eucharistic Minister
The perfect ministry for you if you want to get involved but don’t have a lot of time. The only time commitment is coming to Mass ready to minister the Body and Blood of Christ.
- Welcome Coordinator
Overseas and trains greeters and ushers and those welcoming members to the Liturgy.
- Ministry of Hospitality/Usher
Distributes worship aids, assists people arriving in locating seating before Mass, invites individuals to bring forward the gifts of bread and wine, receives collection from the Assembly and brings it to the altar, assists people in moving forward to receive the Eucharist, distributes bulletins and helps put the church in order after Mass has ended.
Welcomes people to weekend liturgies in a friendly and outgoing manner.
- Altar Server
Assist the priest at Mass. A perfect ministry for children to take leadership positions in the parish and learn more about the Mass. Open to all girls and boys 3rd grade and older. Servers March-May 2018 docx
- Funeral Altar Server
Assist the priest at a funeral mass. Usually on weekdays in the mornings.
- Art & Environment
Assist in planning, design, arrangement and care of the liturgical environment of the worship space. Sewing assistance is also needed.
- Care of Plants – Indoors
Works with Art & Environment team for planting, watering and tending to plants indoors. Need volunteers year-round.
- Care for Altar Linens
Launders in your own home. Launders and irons purificators, altar cloths and other cloths used at Liturgy. Approximately once a month.
- Music Ministry
There are several choirs at St. Mary Magdalene. If you think you can’t sing, with a little practice you can. New choir members and cantors are always welcome, as well as musicians.
