Health & Wellness for July is Eye Health

Have a comprehensive eye exam.

Know your family’s eye health history.

Eat right to protect your sight. Lots of fruits and vegetables, especially dark greens, and fish with high omega- 3 fatty acids.

Maintain a healthy weight.

Wear protective eyewear when doing sports or doing activities around the home.

Quit smoking or never start.

Wear your sunglasses. Be sure they block out 99-100% of both UV-A & UV-B radiation.

Give your eyes a rest. Follow the 20-20-20 rule. Every twenty minutes look away from the computer about 20 feet in front of you for 20 seconds.

Clean your hands & contacts appropriately.

Practice workplace eye safety.
