Apple Slices

1 1/2 cup crushed Frosted Flakes or corn flakes.

8 cups sliced apples (12-16)

2 tsp. cinnamon

1/2 tsp. nutmeg

1 cup sugar

2 pie crusts

egg white

Lay crust in the bottom of a 9×13 pan. Sprinkle corn flakes on the top.

Layer apples on top.

Combine sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg…sprinkle on top.

Put on top crust, brush with eggwhite and sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar.

bake at 350 for 60 minutes.  

May glaze with 1 cup powdered sugar, 1-2 tsp milk and 1/2 tsp vanilla(mix together) when cool.

 

Chocolate Chex Mix

8 cups (1 box) chocolate chex mix

3/4 cup brown sugar

6 T. butter

3 T. light corn syrup

1/4 tsp. baking soda

1/4 cup white vanilla baking chips

Into large microwavable bowl, measure cereal. Set aside. Line cookie sheet with waxed paper.

In 2 cup bowl, microwave brown sugar, butter and syrup uncovered on high 1-2 min. stirring after 1 min until melted and smooth. Stir in baking soda until dissolved. Pour over cereal, stirring until evenly coated. Microwave on high 3 min stirring every  minute. Spread on cookie sheet. Cool 10 min. Break into bite-size pieces.

Microwave vanilla baking chips incovered on high about 1 min 30 sec. or until chips can be stirred smooth. Drizzle over snack. Refrigerate until set. Store in tightly covered container.

 Cranberry Salad

1 Package cranberries cooked as to directions and cooled

1 large can crushed pineapple (undrained)

1 large can of mandarin oranges (drained)

2 small packages of raspberry jello disolved in 1/2 cup boiling water

Mix together and chill
